PodRewind for churches
If your sermons already go out as a podcast feed, you have years of teaching that is hard to find again. PodRewind turns that feed into a searchable sermon archive, so anyone can find the message on a passage or topic.
Sound familiar?
- Someone asks for "the sermon on forgiveness from a couple of years ago", and staff go hunting.
- Series, passages and guest preachers are scattered across hundreds of recordings.
- Written summaries for the website or newsletter take volunteer time every week.
- Visitors can’t tell from a list of titles which message speaks to them.
What changes with PodRewind
- Public archive
The public archive gives every sermon its own page with the full transcript, at yourchurch.podrewind.com or, on the Pro plan, your own domain.
- Search
Search finds a passage, a topic or a phrase across every sermon, and plays from the moment it was preached.
- Speaker names
Speaker names tell the senior pastor from guest preachers, so you can find everything a given speaker has taught.
- Audio clips
Audio clips pull a short passage out of a sermon as an MP3 file to share, on every plan (PodRewind audio clips).
- Social posts
Social posts and newsletter drafts come from the transcript on the Creator and Pro plans.
Your first hour
- Find the sermon podcast feed your church already publishes and add it at podrewind.com/onboard.
- Label the regular preachers when they first appear so their names follow through the archive.
- Search for a passage from last Sunday and share the link with your team.
- Link the archive from your church website.
Plans
PodRewind is free for 5 episodes per feed; Creator ($19/mo) and Pro ($39/mo) cover the full back catalog, with the first 1,000 hours of older episodes included and $0.20 per hour past that (PodRewind pricing). PodRewind needs a podcast RSS feed; if your sermons are not published in a feed yet, your podcast host can create it. Compare plans

Questions answered
Do our sermons need to be a podcast?
Yes. PodRewind reads episodes from an RSS feed. Most podcast hosts provide a feed, and a single recording can be tried on the free transcription page.
Can members search without an account?
Yes. The archive and its search are public. You can switch off search-engine indexing in the wiki settings.
Can the archive live on our church website domain?
Yes, on the Pro plan. On the Free and Creator plans it lives on a podrewind.com subdomain.
