Castmagic review (): what it does, who it’s for, what it costs
Castmagic is a transcript-led content workspace: upload a recording or import from RSS and get transcripts, show notes, posts, newsletters, clips and audiograms. Plans are sized in transcribed hours. It suits teams producing a lot of written content from each episode.

What Castmagic is
Castmagic organizes work into spaces with storage limits per plan, from 50GB on Hobby to 1TB on Team, and seats from three on Hobby to five on Starter (castmagic.io).
Castmagic accepts audio and video uploads, RSS imports and links from platforms such as YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts (castmagic.io).
From each recording it produces a transcript in 60+ languages, summaries, timestamped show notes, articles, newsletters, social posts, quotes and video scripts, plus media clips and audiograms (castmagic.io). It also lists an API from the Starter plan and MCP access for Claude.
How you get in: Self-serve paid plans. A free tier or trial length is not verified on its pricing page.
Pricing
Castmagic publishes Hobby at $19/month billed annually ($239/year), Starter at $48/month ($579/year), Team at $139/month ($1,669/year) and Business & Scale from $699/month, checked September 27, 2026 (castmagic.io).
A no-cost tier or trial length is not verified; the pricing page calls Hobby "Try it for real."
What it does well
- Written output at volume. Its podcast page lists a long catalog of formats from a single transcript.
- Room to grow. Plans run from 30 transcribed hours on Hobby to 400 on Team, with custom Business & Scale plans above that (castmagic.io).
- Integration options. RSS, Zoom, Google Drive and Zapier are listed, with API access from Starter.
Limitations we could verify
- Hobby starts at $19/month billed annually (castmagic.io); a no-cost tier is not verified.
- A public, searchable episode archive or website is not confirmed on its pages.
- Generated story visuals for audio-only clips are not confirmed.
A searchable public episode archive and generated story visuals are not confirmed on its pages.
Who should pick it
- Your team publishes articles, newsletters and social posts from every episode.
- You want an API or agent access to your episode library.
Who should look elsewhere
- You want listeners, not your team, to search the transcripts.
- You want to start free.
How PodRewind differs
PodRewind puts the transcripts in front of listeners: a public archive with a page per episode and search across all of them. Creator ($19/mo) and Pro add show notes, social posts and newsletters from the same transcripts, and Pro adds captioned videos from audio-only episodes (PodRewind pricing).
